The client required a ground floor bedroom and bathroom for their changing needs on their three bedroom semi-detached dwelling. They also needed alterations to the existing ground floor layout including widening of door openings and the provision of a porch for a mobility scooter to be stored in.
The proposed extensions fell within the Permitted Development Rights of the property and therefore planning permission was not required. We carried out a measured survey and produced a set of survey and scheme drawings which met the client’s requirements and the relevant building regulations. A building regulations application was submitted which gained approval. The extension has since been constructed and the client is enjoying her newly extended home.
